Te Pūnaha Matatini – ‘the meeting place of many faces’ – is a Centre of Research Excellence hosted by the University of Auckland that will develop methods and approaches for transforming complex data about New Zealand’s environment, economy, and society into knowledge, tools, and insight for making better decisions. Te Pūnaha Matatini were the first major sponsor of Maths Craft.

The Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) is a public service department with its head office in Wellington, New Zealand. GCSB contributes to New Zealand’s national security by providing information assurance and cyber security to the New Zealand Government and critical infrastructure organisations, collecting and analysing intelligence in accordance with the Government’s priorities, and providing cooperation and assistance to other New Zealand government agencies.

The Dodd-Walls Centre is a world class collaborative research network building on New Zealand’s strength in the fields of quantum optics, photonics and precision atomic physics. Their research centres around photonics, the manipulation of light at the most fundamental, quantum level, and the control and manipulation of matter at the atomic scale, through the use of light.

The South Wairarapa District Council is proud to serve and support this fabulous part of New Zealand with its true ‘mountains to the sea’ experience. South Wairarapa encompasses the three rural towns of Featherston, Greytown and Martinborough, each with their own charm and attributes. In 1934 Walter Ashford founded Ashford Handicrafts in New Zealand, a company that has become a world leader in the manufacture of quality wooden textile equipment and in quality yarns.  Ashford wool is 100% grown and processed in New Zealand, with the whole process from the fibre selection to processing managed by them, from farm to fibre artist. 

The University of Canterbury Foundation, Te Tūāpapa Hononga o Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha, is an independent charitable trust established in 2001, dedicated to ensuring that the University of Canterbury's tradition of excellence in higher education continues. From its earliest beginnings in 1873, philanthropic support and the generosity of donors and supporters has played a major part in making the university the respected institution it is today. The UC Foundation is dedicated to continuing that tradition.

Curious Minds seeks to encourage and enable better engagement with science and technology across all sectors of New Zealand, to bring about a nation of Curious Minds, where science is inspiring, recognisable, highly valued and personally relevant to all New Zealanders. It is guided by A Nation of Curious Minds – He Whenua Hihiri i te Mahara, A National Strategic Plan for Science in Society, and was launched in 2014, following the creation of the National Science Challenges. Curious Minds is jointly managed by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the Ministry of Education and the Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor. 

Located in the heart of Christchurch, the Arts Centre is New Zealand’s largest collection of Category 1 heritage buildings. Held in trust for the people of Canterbury and its visitors, the Arts Centre has long been renowned as a place for arts, culture, education and creativity. With its post-earthquake restoration now past the half-way mark, it is reclaiming its place once again in the cultural landscape of Christchurch. As well as arts-related activities, visitors can enjoy shopping, eating, galleries or just simply spend time in the stunning outdoor areas.

The Auckland Museum Institute, established in 1867, is the membership body for Auckland Museum. The Institute is a facilitator of lifelong learning and knowledge sharing, engaging audiences through premium lecture programmes and events, in support of the Museum and its endeavours. It is the Auckland Branch of the Royal Society of New Zealand, providing members' and the public access to both local and international lectures.

Auckland War Memorial Museum is one of New Zealand's first Museums. The Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealand's top three heritage libraries. It has pre-eminent Māori and Pacific collections, significant natural history resources and major social and military history collections, as well as decorative arts and pictorial collections.

The Otago Museum, established in 1868, shares the natural, cultural and scientific stories of Otago, Aotearoa New Zealand and the world. Their collection includes over 1.5 million objects, which come from around the globe. They use these objects to tell visitors more about the world – from Dunedin to deep space, from millions of years ago to envelope-pushing research – through galleries, exhibitions, displays, tours and talks.
